Recently they have begun to sell straps in which you can join several of the Maxtrax together. This means if you get to a particularly difficult section you can lie several out in a row and drive through it without any problems. It also helps to keep the tracks in a good condition. Nothing is worse than driving along a track that has been ripped up by the previous vehicle!
