Finding the Right Replacement Soft Top for Your Geo or Chevy Tracker

If you live anywhere in the upper Midwest, and have any kind of open top vehicle, you know that it sits parked in your garage or some storage building for 6 to 7 months of the year. What a drag it is! Many of the Trackers (as well as the Sidekicks and Samurais) only came with a "rag top", which didn't translate very well to winter driving, even though the vehicles were handy. There are some manufacturers out there that can provide you with a hard shell top for these older models, which turn them into year-round rides!

If your rag top or convertible top is worn out, torn, or leaks wind or rain, there are even more web stores out there that carry replacement soft tops. What used to be a virtual impossibility when that original top went bad, has certainly improved leaps and bounds. Especially handy are the tops for the rugged terrain and off road vehicles like our Geo Trackers. You can find them in factory replacement colors to match your vehicle, and custom colors if you like that better. The windows can be clear or tinted. There are many different fabrics available as well, and they have made them so much easier to install. So different from the old days.

With so many more tops available, it only stands to reason that the prices have begun to come down. It is now both easier to find the top to fit YOUR vehicle, and easier to find a replacement Tracker Top for less money! I've seen lots of good deals out there, which makes replacing these totally do-able! So take some time and shop around. And maybe you can get that soft top out a little more often. And look cool doing it! And maybe even have a couple dollars left in your wallet to take your sweetie for a ride!
